The next app is Aurora Play Store. Now, to go to the Play Store, you need a Google account. Aurora Store works on an open-source project of Google. You don’t need a Google account to download any application from the Play Store. That means all the applications of the Play Store will be available in the Aurora Store. But here you don’t need to log in. You can also download applications from different regions. The applications that are not available in your region can also be downloaded and used by you on any phone, and there is no need to enter the Play Store ID.
APK Mirror Installer
The next application is APK Mirror Installer. Now let me tell you that APK Mirror is a website where you can download APKs. Normally I don’t recommend this to people because you don’t know how the APK is coming or not. Google is not checking it.
But the thing to think about is that there are still such applications running on the Play Store that are useless. However, billions of millions of applications have been removed. If you look in the past, in 2024 they removed many millions, but still, some must be left.
So if you have such a side phone and you just want to experiment, then you can install the APK Mirror Installer. Here you will get applications of different regions that are not available anywhereere. So you can use it side-by-side. As a main app, this won’t be right. But as a side note, you can use it.
In case you have such a phone, which may not be getting updates. An old phone. It happens, right? Very old phone, so updates for applications have stopped coming. Applications don’t support it. You want old applications. Then on APK Mirror, you will also get old versions of applications and games which you can install and play easily because I also have one, an old Samsung Galaxy J7 which came in 2016, updates don’t come in that, applications don’t support, so I just install APKs and play games like Hill Racing happily.

Aurora OS & Warden
Aurora OS, which is open-source software, that Aurora which I mentioned, Play Store like, in this you will also find another application called Warden. Inside it, there are many different applications. Warden application is an app tracker. It tells which of your applications is sending data where and whether it is stealing data or not. You can check the complete behavior of the application. Which is very relevant in the present time when many applications are partnering with third parties like TST, etc.
Now, whether they are sending data to China or where they are sending it? How will you find out? Because you don’t have background data access in Android. But after installing this application, after installing the application named Warden, you get complete access that which application is sending data where, and with this, you can make your privacy stronger and find out how safe and secure, and privacy-conscious any application is.
Island or Shelter
The next application is Island or Shelter. Both are good. So Island and Shelter provide you cloning. Now this thing is not that extraordinary. But it supports even in old phones. Nowadays in new phones, especially Realme etc., Chinese phones or Redmi ones, cloning comes inbuilt. Means you can run two versions of WhatsApp. You can run two versions of Instagram. So you can try these Island and Shelter applications.

If you are a big fan of Instagram, then brother, you can download Insta. Instand is a modded version of Instagram. But here you get extra functionality. Here, you can directly download any post of Instagram from within the app. You can download any reel from there. No need to go anywhere else. Many times, very good reels come. The laptop is a laptop. But now, many such people have come who are doing very powerful things on Termux that can be done on a Linux terminal.
So if you want to learn Linux, want to know more about Linux, you don’t have a laptop or computer, then according to me, it can be a starting point, Termux. Here you can do a lot. You can run scripts. You can run Python scripts. So on the phone also, you can do a lot of things which till now could only be done on a laptop or computer. So if you have a tablet, maybe a Google tablet or an old tablet lying around, then you install Termux on it and attach a keyboard, and you have a Linux terminal. Enjoy it, have fun.
